Paul and Irene Collins own this small Gloucestershire based Labrador kennel.
We bought our first yellow Labrador as a pet in 1977, and have been showing and
breeding them since 1992. Due to our advancing years we have now stopped
breeding our own lines but continue to compete in the show ring. In 2017 we
bought our first black Labrador, a bitch, from Carol and Mervyn Reynolds of the
Carromer kennels. She was joined by a yellow Ramsayville dog in late 2019. At
present we also have three older yellow Labradors bred by us.
We have always tried to limit the size of our kennel to have no more than 7 or 8
dogs at any one time. This way we can give them all the love and individual
care and attention needed to keep them happy and in tip top condition. Our show
dogs are regularly exhibited at Championship and Open shows all over the
country. Two other bitches were trained to do field work and this enabled them
to attend Crufts in the Gamekeepers classes.
Paul has been judging Labradors for many years and is approved by the Kennel
Club to judge at Championship Show level. He has judged all over Great Britain
and in Europe.
We are always willing to help if you are considering buying a Labrador. Although
we no longer breed we can provide you with phone numbers of your nearest
Labrador Breed Club puppy register keepers, who will know if there are any
litters available in your area.
We love talking about Labradors and welcome any enquiries you may have. We have
a vast knowledge of the breed, so please feel free to contact us at any time if
you have, or are thinking about getting a Labrador or need advice about any
problems with your Labrador.
